This was a short trailer i did for David and Goliath

This is my section of the animatic. Overall this was a new learning curve for me, and i've learnt to never take things at face value but investigate how to improve or adjust certain matters.. Me and my group had used toon boom storyboard pro, so that was also a new learning experience. I gained more insight of the pre visualisation stage and how to go about rectifying early stumble blocks. Overall this was a great insight that i respect more after actually doing it.

This was a narration i found on youtube, but it wasn't what we really wanted as a whole for this animatic. And so we went with the voice narration Troy found but we used the first part of this narration at the beginning of my animatic.

This was our main influence with the design.. Samurai jack.. This character is so easy and simple and is made out of basic shapes.

In the end, we all agreed that we were going to go ahead with this design. With Seni's design of Goliath and troy's design of david.

This is a sketch of a mountain for the army scene. with Israel standing on one and the philistine standing on the opposite..
The comic book panels that you also see is called the Lion Graphic Bible. This was an inspiration for a art style that i wanted to do, but it was too complex and so it had to be scrapped.

As you can see here are character designs and some of my panels. This also had to be scrapped because we wanted to keep everything easy and not too overwhelmed, so these ideas got scrapped.
Alot of things got changed from my initial idea, because i felt the description to what i had wrote down weeks ago wasn't giving the intensity level i wanted it to be, and so it had to be changed up. I realised when working on this animatic as the weeks progressed, certain aspect of my idea that i had before, got replaced or improved.. It was a real learning curve because the more the weeks rolled on by was the more i began to see the bigger picture, hence the replacing and improving on this project.
